Jurakalni

The project develops a solution for the architectural image and program of two identical buildings and one separate building. The main objective is to find the right balance and compromise between the steep topography of the plot, the scenic one-way views, and the compact volumes of the ‘mountain’ buildings. The most important value achieved in the solution is the authentic layout of the buildings, which both adheres to the existing landform and, in places, ‘steps out’ from it using the half-storey principle.
