Magoņu Quarter is located in Āgenskalns, between M. Nometņu, Pārslas, Atpūtas, and Magoņu Streets. The development is planned on three plots and consists of three new building blocks centered around the vertical spatial dominance of the brick chimney from an old boiler house. The buildings are intended to be used as apartment-type hotels or dormitories.
The 3-storey apartment hotels will continue the open perimeter frontage of the Mazā Nometņu Street development and will be complemented by public facilities on the ground floors. The 4-storey building volume along Magoņu Street is compositionally divided into three parts and set back from the street frontage to respect the existing trees.
Āgenskalns is characterized by a significant proportion of large trees; therefore, all valuable trees in the development area will be preserved. Additionally, several new trees will be planted, and green and recreational areas will be created in the inner courtyard of the block.
