The building has been designed in laconic, historically accepted forms, taking into account the relatively high wind loads. The small roof overhangs, which are typical of Pāvilosta, have been minimized. The traditional form of the building is emphasized and reinterpreted through the use of aspen wood particle cladding on both the roof and the walls. As time passes, the natural material cladding will change color and shape, adding nuances and altering the perception of the building. The building features wide glazing that provides access to the terrace deck, an original roof window solution with angled glazing units, and an open plan interior.
