The concept for the “House in the woods” is rooted in the pine tree forest and its unique landscape. The majority of the estate is covered by valuable pine trees, and the design of the building incorporates contemporary architectural principles and a considerate approach to the existing landscape. The aim was to seamlessly integrate the building into the surrounding environment while preserving the integrity of the land.
To achieve this, existing trees were integrated into the terrace area, minimizing disturbance to the land cover. The facade design utilizes prefabricated insulated wooden panels adorned with high-quality wooden cladding in varying sizes and tones, resembling the texture of pine tree trunks. The interior of the house maintains a connection to the forest, with each room having an exit leading to the terrace and windows providing expansive views of the surrounding woods.
This building was designed for industrial manufacturing, with a 12-month design process, 4-month manufacturing phase, and 0.5-month assembly on-site. These meticulous stages resulted in a construction of high quality, attention to detail, and energy efficiency.
