The existing building was designed in 1966. It consists of two interconnected volumes: one is seven storeys high, and the other is three storeys high. The seven-storey volume has remained largely intact since construction, while the three-storey volume, and the two-storey section connecting the two buildings, have been rebuilt several times over the years.The new form of the building retains the horizontal division of the original facade design, with added vertical divisions. The vertical divisions are modular to adapt to the function of the interior spaces, allowing any interior space to be subdivided into larger or smaller areas.
